Book this luxury hotel if you want to immerse yourself in Ecuadorian culture Loved everything about Illa experience hotel. It was our first time visiting Quito from the US. Once I booked the reservation, the entire Illa team went above and beyond in answering all of my questions in WhatsApp leading up to the reservation. Even before we arrived, they were so helpful and accommodating . They took the initiative to ask our dietary restrictions, offered to arrange airport transportation for us. Once we arrived, we were greeted with warm towels to freshen up and cocktails before heading to our beautiful, clean rooms. We even had small treats waiting for us at our rooms and altitude sickness tea just in case. Loved the daily interactive artisan experience from 5-6pm, learning about traditional Ecuadorian cocktails and getting to try local fruits, and getting fresh tea from their tea garden. The customizable massages were fantastic after a day of traveling. They even offered luggage storage after checkout so we can explore Quito before heading to our next stop in Ecuador. One of the greatest hotel experiences we've ever had! The Illa Experience Hotel truly is an experience. I've never encountered anything like it. From the beautiful interior design to the overly helpful and friendly staff, this stay was a 10 out of 10 for us. Unbeatable luxury just a few steps from the old city. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Beautifully appointed rooms, super comfortable beds and warm, friendly staff. Location is perfect for access to the old city and the on site restaurant is fantastic for upmarket Ecuadorian cuisine. Gem of a boutique hotel Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, exceptional service. The hotel’s common areas and rooms are beautiful, and great care is given to the details. Everyday there’s a cultural experience, during our stay was a hot chocolate and a specialty dessert. The restaurant is fantastic for both breakfast and dinner. Great hotel; arrange your own airport transport Illa Experience is a lovely facility, very well appointed, with a pleasant staff, & excellent location in historic Quito. Staff seemed to want to go out of their way to tend to our needs. The restaurant menu is limited (the wine list even more so) but the food was terrific. On the other hand, we arranged for the hotel to have a driver pick us up at the airport. The driver was waiting for us (which was great) but he was not friendly, had us wait in a hot car for nearly 10 minutes while he paid for parking (other drivers handled this a different way), then took us to the wrong hotel and argued with us that we were in the right place. (We were not.) The hotel charged $80 for this service (taxi fare is less than half that). When we reported our disappointment to the hotel clerk, they said very little other than they would report this to management, and we never heard anything more about it. What an incredible intimate, and thought out artful hotel. Probably the pillows were one of my only few regrets in that they did not offer a feather pillow as an option. They were very full and hard for me to sleep on but for other people I’m sure they were great. They are fullness of the hotel was absolutely incredible. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, no matter which Staff to whom you were speaking. The rooms were beautiful and well thought out the heated swimming pool. Wonderful and charming An absolutely great location, beautifully styled  hotel. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. The staff were fantastic! I wish we could have stayed longer. Incredible Stay and Restaurant We had an incredible stay at Illa Experience. Our 5 night stay was exceptional in every way. The Six Senses Tour and trip to Cotopaxi were with well versed, knowledgeable guides. The hotel staff was attentive to our needs. The daily experience are a must do and excellent. Francisco, the Mater Dei, was so kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. Chef Juan Carlos has the best food / restaurant in Ecuador and a must try for locals and visitors.

Boutique hotel perfection! My husband and I just spent two nights at Illa at the end of our honeymoon and we wish we could have spent many more. It’s the epitome of what you want from a high end boutique hotel, with beautiful interiors and incredibly personal service from the moment you walk in.The building is beautiful, like a multilevel townhouse with interior courtyards and a gorgeous terrace looking straight out at Lady Quito. The new outdoor pool is heated and so attractive as is the jacuzzi inside the spa, free for guest use.  We stayed in a suite, which was spacious, airy and very chic decor. Personalized breakfasts each morning are delicious.Above all the concierges are so friendly, helpful and accessible.
